The Committee was formed on 4th May 2006 for the Cawston Historical Society to create a village archive for the history of Cawston before it is lost.

Obtain recent and past history and photos  before the aging residents disappear, collect and file newspaper cuttings, documents, maps and data on buildings etc.

To make available this history for Cawston residents,  future generations and for  research.

Hold meeting for sorting material, photos, general interests and for speakers to attend.

Promote awareness of the Society and meeting etc.

Generate other interests to help and assist the aims of the Society.
