Society Aims Meeting Reports    

Following a meeting at theVillage Hall on Thursday 20th April 2006 the CAWSTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY
was formed. 
The committee met for the first time on Thursday 4th May at Jean’s home with refreshments kindly supplied, thank you Jean!
The inaugural meeting of the society was held on Thursday 15th June at the Cawston Village Hall.
The committee would like to thank everyone for a well supported evening and the donations received

         Meeting are held every fourth Thursday of each month at the Village Hall at 7pm-9pm
                                           Itinerary of Meeting.

Thursday 22nd May Open Day, the Village Hall will be open for two sessions, 2pm - 5pm and
                 7pm - 9pm to display photos, documents and memorabilia, please come to see the
                 Cawston History collection. We would truly welcome any new items that anyone
                  brings along. Entry will be free and refreshments available.
Thursday 26th June Talk on the Kett's Rebellion by Susan Yaxley.
Thursday 24th July Talk on Cawston Church by Mr Peter Bradbury
Thursday 28th August: Sorry - No meeting.

Entry to each meeting will be 50p for members & £1.50 for non members to cover hire of the Village Hall and refreshments.   ALL WELCOME
