Shops, Market Hill:-
April 2004:-The China shop on Market Hill closed and is
now a
expansion to the business of All Things Nice with a Delicatessen,
selling hams, cheeses, salamis, olives etc, also sweets, ice
cream, natural juices, jams, chutneys and lots more.

The Bell Inn, High Street:-
April 2005:-Michael & Drina Brookman turned the once large function
room on the second floor of The Bell Inn at the High Street into three
bedrooms for expansion of their business for bed and breakfast,
two of which are twin bedrooms plus one double room containing a
king size bed, all rooms have en suite (toilet, wash basin & shower)
with a separate entrance into the bedroom block.

CWE. (Continental Wine Experts) site:-
Planning permission was obtained for this site in
around 2003 for
24 houses, Care home with 35 rooms with 7 self contained units
and 8 to 14 industrial units, CWE moved from Cawston to Buxton,
in August 2004 when demolition of the buildings and clearing of
site commenced, Unfortunately the business of CWE ceased trading
in September 2004.

Marshams Garage, Norwich Road:-
Planning permission was obtained for 4 houses in around 2000 for
4 houses and out line planning for possible 2 houses in 2004,
Mr Stanley Bell who ran the business for many years moved from
the garage at the end October 2004 when demolition of the garage
and clearing of the site commenced.
Cook Food Plus Shop, High Street:-
Planning permission was obtained in 2004 to convert the shop into
2 houses, November 2005 saw the start of the conversion.

Cawston
Historical Society:- A meeting was held in the Village Hall on
the 20th April 2006 and was agreed to start a Historical Society, on the
4th May the first Committee meeting was held in the home of Mrs Jean
Vince, the Oddfellows.
