January 2008:- Cawston Village Hall Improvements.

Over the last two years you might have noticed changes to the village hall. As a committee we have been committed to upgrading the hall.

The kitchen has been completed and the lighting. in the main hall and kitchen sunk into the ceiling.
Additional store rooms have been created in the entrance area to enable a complete reorganization of the storage facilities. We now have a separate room for
the Cawston History Archive which is in association with the Cawston Historical Society who have their equipment in the same room, the toddlers and arts and crafts share a store adjacent to the kitchen. The storage area in the entrance area is kept for tables and chairs and for the CATs group and the Cricket Club.

More recently the toilets have been completely refitted thanks to funding from the Barratt Trust, Parish Council and Carnival Committee. This means that the ladies, gents and disabled toilet facilities have been refurbished. Additionally, there is now a baby changing table for the toddler group.
Security cameras/equipment have been installed in and outside the Village Hall.

Externally, the car park has been leveled and resurfaced, a notice board and village hall sign erected and work carried out to the exits and exit doors
, the timber fence and part of the hall have been treated.

This work was supported by donations from individuals in the village.
