Golden Jubilee Dinner February 6th 1971 at the

Miss Mary Maude (Treasurer, see programme above) was a founder member of the
village's W.I. in 1921 and was organist at St. Agnes' Church for 43 years.
Before the turn of the century when Miss Maude did her shopping in Cawston,
sugar cost a penny three farthings (1.3/4d) a pound, a small loaf was a
penny.

Miss Mary Maude was organist at Cawston
for 43 years, (1900 - 1943?)
and was a founder member of the W.I in 1921
1967 the W.I. celebrated their 46th birthday, two founder members
Mrs Burke & Mrs Carman were present.
1991 a new shield was presented to Cawston School to
commemorate the 70th year of the W.I. in Cawston
