The weekend exceeded my wildest dreams, I had said that if the Festival went as well as the preparation it would be a great success, and I was right. On the Wednesday and Thursday when the arrangers were doing their flowers, the church came" alive with the scent of the flowers, the atmosphere was electric with everyone meeting old friends and new.

Under the tower was transformed into a very high class antique store. The north and south chapels had been cleared and display boards were erected and pictures that had been painted in the art classes took pride of place, also four large boards depicting the seasons of the year which I understand every child in Cawston School had worked on.

We had pictures of choirs old and new, photo's of the playgroup, and a very good scale model of Cawston Heath, some lovely pottery and more pictures from pupils of the school.

The Friday evening went very well; it enabled all the sponsors to see the song titles they had chosen for their loved ones, and all the flower arrangers to see the finished results of their hard work, our surprise guest was Melita Morgan and her daughter Angel from Aylsham, Melita is starring in a film called 'Mr Lonely' and she has other films in the pipe line.

The Church opened at 10 am on the Saturday, and that was the start to a very busy weekend, all the stalls, Tombola, Cakes, Raffle, Craft, Face Painting, Bric-a-brac and games were very busy all weekend, the scout hut had been turned into' St Agnes Lite Bites', mixed rolls and delicious cakes were served every day also a produce stall with home grown goods.

It is impossible for me to name all my helpers as there were so many people and I would hate to miss anybody out, therefore can I say a VERY BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who had a hand in making the weekend such a big success.

The Income for the weekend including sponsorship etc. £5937.65 The Expenses £1768.30 so the money raised for the weekend was £4169.35.
A v
ery good result.

Thank you all again Lyn (Fairchild)
