History:- H. A. Gaskin.
Mr Herbert Arthur Gaskin
attended the village school and on leaving served an apprenticeship
for hairdressing. in 1935 he took over as licensee of the
Kings Head
public house and carried on his hairdressing in the shop next
door.
In 1940 he volunteered for the Royal Air Force and saw service in
Italy and Egypt as a radar mechanic. On demobilisation in 1946 he
opened a radio and television business in North Walsham. |
