Counselling
Directory
The purpose of the site is ultimately to provide the UK with a huge counselling
support network, enabling those in distress to find a counsellor close to them
and appropriate for their needs. This is a free, confidential service that will
hopefully encourage those in distress to seek help. The website also contains a
number of sections on emotional disorders (types of distress section) and
provides some useful statistics. Every counsellor on the site who has submitted
their profile has either sent a copy of their qualifications and insurance cover
to us, or is registered with a professional body online with recognised codes of
ethics and practice, this way we can be assured of their professionalism.
This web site could be a useful resource for those looking for support or
general advice about counselling. Here is the page that links directly through
to the counsellors listed in Norfolk

Our Property .co.uk.
This
company has been developing a useful property website which you can view here:-
http://www.ourproperty.co.uk. The site allows users to access official land
registry data to find out exactly how much houses in a specific area have sold
for. By simply entering a postcode, users can see house prices for that area, or
even use the data to find out how much a neighbour has paid for their house!
The website has an estate agent and letting agent directory, searchable by town,
and also town statistics so users can find out for example, the ten most
expensive roads in Norfolk
(http://www.ourproperty.co.uk/stats/norfolk.html)
- something which could be useful for many local residents.

Banking Guide
With so many different banks to choose from, all offering different things, it
can be confusing to know which will be the best option for you.
http://www.banking-guide.org.uk
guide seeks to make banking simple, especially for young people who may only
just be thinking of opening an account. There is also a 'User Comments' section,
which means visitors to the site are able to leave feedback on their own
experiences with different banks:

Aylsham Twinning:- |
|
| |
Aylsham Twinning is for Aylsham and district. Cawston residents are very welcome to join in with our activities,
which are often social events in our area, but of course include visits to our
twin town in central France, and receiving visitors from there also.
However it is not a condition of joining that one must either travel to France
or accept visitors in return, and not doing one of those doesn't automatically
preclude the other.
We have organised treasure hunts, barbecues and
barn dances etc for members as examples of the sort of things we do on the social side, and
generally there is something happening every month or so. All members have a
newsletter by email or delivery to advise of what's happening. We have a link
developing with Germany, for those perhaps who are a little nervous about
France, or the French people.
For contact details & information please visit our web
site:-
www.aylshamtwinning.co.uk
Should anyone be
interested. We were pleased to have a couple of Cawston households on the
membership list but unfortunately both moved away, although one family has
returned and we are hoping to see them back soon. We would be pleased to
welcome anyone else who would like to join us.
Peter Oldman.
