  The business was sold by Mr Smith to Mr & Mrs Alec Walpole in 1983
  who successfully ran the business until it was closed in 1993, the shop   
  was then taken down and 2 houses were built on the shop site.

Haveringland Hall, 1926.

Built 1845 of bath stone in Italian style, square with imposing tower at the NE angle. The moated site of a much older residence can be seen in a field to the north of the more recent one.

Haveringland Hall demolished/Blown up about 1945.

One of the residents in the former hall was a Mr Clement Hyrne who married a lady of the distinguished Paston family, Memorials to some Hyrnes remain.
