On Saturday 20th March, we entered 9 young people
from Cawston in the Broadland Challenge. a day of initiative tests
and team-work at Great Hautbois House in Coltishall and our teams
comprising Luke Banham, Carly Walton, Jenny and Hayley Arthurton,
Daniel Cousins, Joe Sayce, Oliver McCoan, William Steele and
Michaela Shreeve, built rafts and bridges, climbed up and abseiled
down a 30 ft.tower, went over an assault course blindfolded and shot
arrows, among other things. One of our teams came 6thand the others
just had a brilliant day. and I think found out a little about
themselves in the process!
When I tell you that all the other teams in the
challenge were between 15 and 19 years old I think you'll agree that
they did very well indeed!
Due to a very positive response to our Friday class,
we have also started a second martial arts class on a Tuesday from
5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. We would welcome any new members who would
like to give it a try.
